Our history

We come from practical experience: Reservix was created over 20 years ago from the choir concerts of the John Sheppard Ensemble. In 2002, Freiburg software developer Johannes Güntert, an enthusiastic choir singer, and conductor Johannes Tolle developed a print@home solution with seating plan booking - a pioneering achievement at a time when hard tickets were still commonplace.

Initially only intended for our own purposes, other event organizers quickly became aware of our web-based solution. And so we founded Reservix in 2003.

We soon gain important customers such as SC Freiburg, Theaterhaus Stuttgart and Badische Zeitung. More and more ticket agencies join our system. In 2009, we were able to take over an important regional competitor, Tic Tec GmbH, followed by another major competitor in 2013 with the takeover of the Berlin-based company Tixoo. A close partnership with the Frankfurt-based company AD Ticket, which has existed since 2004, finally led to a merger of the two companies in 2015.

Reservix has now been on the market for over 20 years, employs 480 people and is Germany's second-largest ticketing provider. We have not forgotten our roots: "We think like event organizers" - their success is also our success.
