Around 30 businesses, cultural institutions and associations based in the district have so far taken part in the initiative, opening their doors and inviting visitors to take a tour and look behind the scenes. And the number is growing every week. In addition to Reservix with its ADticket store, other businesses taking part include Doña Carmen, Yok Yok & Yok Yok Eden, Bar Shuka, Tokonoma, Ameron Frankfurt, the Neckarvillen Boutique Hotel, the International Children's House, the Weißfrauen Diakoniekirche, the Merkez Camii mosque, Latin Palace Changó, MyWay, Alim Markt, Pankaj Yogastudio, Galerie Rundgänger Schierke & Seineke and the Haier Experience Lounge.
Part of the offer is a web application that creates a link between the digital and analog worlds. The app bundles a comprehensive range of information, consisting of an event calendar, current information from the district, historical background, safe spaces and much more. With the regular experience days, the trade association Treffpunkt Bahnhofsviertel e.V., together with Wiesenhüttenplatz e.V. and other committed people from the district, wants to counteract the recent development, invite people to visit the district and improve the current and sustainable image of the Bahnhofsviertel.
"I am very grateful to everyone involved," emphasizes Nazim Alemdar, Chairman of the trade association Treffpunkt Bahnhofsviertel e.V. and operator of YOK YOK. "We all live this district! The cohesion is great and shows the positive energy in the station district," he adds. The Main Office and City Marketing as well as the City and District Marketing of the City of Frankfurt am Main are supporting the initiative to the tune of 50,000 euros. The project also receives support from the city's Prevention Council. Merchandising products such as T-shirts and bags, printed with a word and image brand consisting of a city map and street names, are intended to ensure greater visibility for the station district in the city in future.
