The exhibition "A Day With David Bowie" invites you to rediscover the musician, visionary, and style rebel – beyond time, genre, and boundaries. From November 18, 2025, to February 28, 2026, Pineapple Park in Munich (Alte Paketposthalle) will be exhibiting the black-and-white photo series by Austrian photographer Christine de Grancy, featuring never-before-seen snapshots. Tickets can already be purchased at Reservix at early bird prices.
Music icon David Bowie thrilled billions of people on stage. His 26 albums, countless stage shows, and music videos are legendary and have had a lasting influence not only on the music scene. But behind the world-famous David Bowie is David Robert Jones. Photographer Christine de Grancy accompanied him for a day in 1994 at the Art Brut Center Gugging. The result is a series of black-and-white photographs that offer an unusual view of the artist and present him in a new light. The photo exhibition premiered in April at the Santa Monica Arts Museum in L.A., where it was even extended until August. The black-and-white images show David Bowie at the Art Brut Center Gugging in Austria, a place known as the birthplace of extraordinary outsider art. The photos have never been shown to the public except as part of the exhibition. They show David Bowie as an observer and listener. The visit inspired him to create his album "Outside" (1995).

Christine de Grancy (born in Graz in 1942) is an Austrian photographer who has gained international recognition for her sensitive, humanistic photo series. Known for her respectful, quiet gaze on people and their living environments, she moves between documentation and art. Whether portraits of actresses at the Burgtheater, long-term observations of Iranian nomads, or everyday moments in Afghanistan—her works speak of dignity, vulnerability, and the beauty of authenticity. During preparations in L.A., De Grancy passed away in Vienna on March 20, 2025.

Early bird tickets for the exhibition "A Day with David Bowie" are now available from Reservix. Day tickets cost €16-19 for adults and €9-12 for children. Flex tickets and family tickets are also available.
