Senior Software Developer (DevOps) (m/f/d)

These are your tasks

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work in a team with other experienced colleagues to further develop the platform of our core application. You have a lot of experience in application development, but your focus is on the platform and you enjoy infrastructure-as-code. Through your work, you will make a significant contribution to improving the development and operating processes and thus to the efficiency of the development teams and system landscape:

• Automation of provisioning and operating processes with the help of Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
• Improvement of the provisioning and operating process through the introduction of suitable tools.
• Development and introduction of standards and frameworks within the core application (and beyond).
• Advice on the topics of system architectures.
• Creation of functional and technical concepts.
• Remunerated participation in weekly rotating on-call duty.
• Collaboration with the platform team and other software development teams

What you should bring with you

• Completed, subject-related university/university of applied sciences degree in business administration/(business) informatics or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through relevant professional experience and/or further training.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in application development (>5 years).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and confident handling of at least one scripting and/or programming language. Experience with PHP, TypeScript and Symfony is an advantage.
• Experience in handling and operating databases, especially MySQL
• Basic knowledge of IT technologies with a focus on containers, Linux, cloud (AWS), automation, networks, monitoring and logging.
• Experience in the design, implementation and operation of distributed systems.
• Strong consulting skills, flexibility and communication skills at all levels.
• Fluency in German and English.
